Finishing production π¬
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! ^-^
Production process… This week, myself and my group mates are beginning to come towards the end of our production stage, and we’re starting to add the final touches to our script. After we divide the script amongst each other, we will begin to record our parts in hopes of bringing them altogether by the end of next week so that we can ensure to edit the clips and elevate the viewing experience by adding background music, various case study/survey facts as well as relevant short clips and videos. As of now, I am in charge of finalising our script and adding any additional information, but also removing any information that is unnecessary or seems a little bit off topic from the point that we will try to convey. So far, the three of us have borrowed recording equipment that was available for us in college, and we’ve also purchased our own microphones to ensure that our video will have the best quality it possibly can. We haven’t decided on a specific recording setting yet, however, we’re probably going to record our parts from home, since it would help us avoid bad weather, such as rain and wind, which would therefore downgrade the quality of our videos. Additionally, I think it would be nice to record the videos in the comfort of our own rooms, since the video will result in a cozy feel, as if we’re having a conversation with the viewers, while keeping it professional and informative. I think that one of the biggest challenges that myself and my group mates have faced so far, is the need to change our plan a little bit, since we haven’t gotten a response from a YouTube blogger that we were hoping to interview. It was quite upsetting, since I feel like the interview would’ve been a nice and interesting addition to the entire video, however, we’ve worked around this inconvenience and are still hoping to produce a great product to reveal in the end. Furthermore, I will begin looking into some of the editing softwares that I would like to use for the editing of my part of the video. I’m planning to research tips and information about recording and editing so that my part of the video stays enlightening yet instructive. I will probably need to go through some trial and error while experimenting with different editing softwares, but I’m hoping to stay on track so that I don’t fall behind the work that my group mates will be completing. I’m very excited to begin recording and editing our video and soon to be able to visualise the finishing product of our project!
